How to Add Robinhood Chain to MetaMask

July 10, 2026 • By SolPurge Team

Robinhood Chain is an EVM-compatible Ethereum Layer 2, as described in Robinhood's mainnet announcement, so it can be added to MetaMask as a custom network. The setup is available in both MetaMask Extension and MetaMask Mobile, but custom networks are stored separately on each device.

This guide uses the official Robinhood Chain mainnet configuration current as of July 10, 2026.

Robinhood Chain Network Details

Copy these values from Robinhood's official wallet configuration page:

FieldValue
Network nameRobinhood Chain
RPC URLhttps://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com
Chain ID4663
Currency symbolETH
Block explorerhttps://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com

Robinhood Chain uses ETH as its native gas token. The official connection documentation also identifies mainnet as chain ID 4663. Do not confuse it with Robinhood Chain Testnet, which uses a different chain ID and RPC.

Before You Add the Network

  • Install MetaMask only from the official MetaMask download page.
  • Open Robinhood's configuration page directly instead of copying RPC values from search results.
  • Never enter your recovery phrase or private key to add a network.
  • Stop if MetaMask reports that the RPC returns a chain ID other than 4663; MetaMask's verification guide explains why custom-network details remain the user's responsibility.
  • Expect the official public RPC to be rate-limited. Temporary availability issues do not change the correct network configuration.
  • Keep ETH on Robinhood Chain for gas before attempting a transaction.
  • Remember that self-custody Robinhood Chain balances are separate from Robinhood brokerage and custodial crypto balances, as explained in Robinhood's mainnet support guide.

Add Robinhood Chain to MetaMask Extension

MetaMask documents manual network setup in its custom network guide.

  1. Open MetaMask Extension.
  2. Open the menu in the upper-right.
  3. Select Networks.
  4. Select Add a custom network.
  5. Enter the Robinhood Chain values from the table above.
  6. Review every field and select Save.
  7. Switch to Robinhood Chain from the network selector.

Add Robinhood Chain to MetaMask Mobile

  1. Open MetaMask Mobile and select the Tokens tab.
  2. Tap the network dropdown at the top.
  3. Open the Custom tab.
  4. Tap Add a custom network.
  5. Enter the network name, RPC URL, chain ID, ETH symbol, and explorer URL.
  6. Save the network and switch to Robinhood Chain.

Adding the network in MetaMask Extension does not automatically add it in MetaMask Mobile. Repeat the setup on each device where you want to use Robinhood Chain.

Verify the Setup

Before moving funds, check:

  • The selected network says Robinhood Chain.
  • The chain ID is 4663.
  • The explorer opens at robinhoodchain.blockscout.com.
  • Your Robinhood Chain address begins with 0x.
  • You have ETH on Robinhood Chain before attempting transactions.

Robinhood's official contract list contains canonical addresses for supported assets. Verify token contracts there instead of trusting a ticker or token name.

Common Problems

Chain ID Does Not Match

Cancel the setup and recheck the RPC URL. A mismatch can mean the URL is wrong or points to a different network. MetaMask warns that custom-network validation is limited, so users must verify the values themselves.

Your Balance Is Missing

Confirm that MetaMask is showing Robinhood Chain rather than Ethereum or another EVM network. The same 0x address can display different balances on different chains.

You Cannot Send a Transaction

Robinhood Chain uses ETH for gas. Holding USDG or another token is not enough if the wallet has no ETH on Robinhood Chain.

Clean Up Solana Before Moving Funds

If you are moving value from Solana to Robinhood Chain, use SolPurge first to review empty token accounts and reclaim idle SOL. Keep enough SOL available for any Solana-side swap or bridge transaction fee.

MetaMask supports Robinhood Chain as a custom network on Extension and Mobile. Use only the official RPC, confirm chain ID 4663, and remember that Robinhood Chain balances are separate from balances in the main Robinhood app.
